FAQs
If you don't see your question below, please reach out to anna@shineatelier.ca for assistance.
Shine Atelier does not operate as a traditional shop, but there are a few ways to collect Everbloom flowers:
commissions
pop-up events
monthly subscriptions
flash sales/auctions
Please note that you must be a member to collect Everbloom flowers or any other Shine Atelier works.
In most cases, no. However, if you see something in the archive that you want, Shine Atelier accepts commissions across mediums and may be able to create something similar for you.
If you are eligible, becoming a member is very easy. Simply click "log in" in the top menu bar at shineatelier.ca and create an account with your email and password.
However, membership is not open to everybody—in order to protect the studio, membership is restricted to a relatively close circle. The general rule of thumb is if we've crossed paths in any way, please feel free to join. All membership requests will be personally reviewed and either accepted or denied by Anna Mueller.
No, but without a membership, you will only be able to view the website and some pages will be completely locked. With membership, you will be able to view the whole website, collect (purchase) pieces by commission, pop-up event, etc., access inspirational and educational creative content, and more.
No, membership, is completely free of cost and commitment. All you need to do is create an account with your email and password. Please note that membership is somewhat exclusive: if we've crossed paths in any way, you are welcome to join.
Shine Atelier is limited in scope when it comes to commissions. Commissions that fall under the creative study areas featured on our website have the highest feasibility. Commissions that fall under past creative explorations are deeply considered, but are not always possible. Commissions in unexplored creative areas are also considered, but present the highest feasibility challenge.
All commissions begin with a conversation about the creative vision and logistics. There are no strings attached until a formal plan and price estimate are agreed upon by both parties.
Short answer: it depends. During your commission conversation, you will get a better sense of the estimated time frame required to complete your piece.
For all mediums, please allow at least 2-3 weeks for creation after your commission plan has been finalized. Time frames depend on the scale of the piece and the availability of the studio. In many cases, the time frame may exceed 2-3 weeks.
Pop-up events will be shared in advance on the collect page and on our socials. Events are always for members only. In most cases, you'll be asked to RSVP or get a ticket (though not all tickets will be paid). All pop-up events will provide the opportunity to collect (purchase) Shine Atelier works.
We will not accept live commission requests at events. For tracking purposes, commissions are only pursued when submitted through the online form with follow-up email conversation.
Each Everbloom stem is hand crafted using premium, tiny glass beads and malleable wire. We aim to create complex structures using original designs that accurately represent detailed, real forms. The process is time consuming and meticulous. Learn more about the French beading process at the bottom of the Everbloom page.
Unlike real flowers, which have a quick expiration date, Everbloom flowers are designed to last a lifetime. And without the use of any plastic, Everbloom flowers are more sustainable and luxurious than some faux flower alternatives.
Think of Everbloom flowers as jewelry for your space—decorative, but also often imbued with emotional significance or an immortalized memory.
